Dagana

Dagana is a southwestern district with deep historical roots that are still practiced today. Before the monarchy, Dagana was governed by a ruling leader known as the Daga Penlop, whose descendants still reside in the region, particularly in Tseza Gewog, a key attraction in Dagana. The district’s landscape is intriguing—neither too hot nor too cold—offering a climate that can be likened to a blend of Thimphu and Phuentsholing.

Dagana is also renowned for the Dagala Thousand Lake Trek, which begins in Genekha, Thimphu, and concludes in Tseza, Dagana.
