Thimphu, Bhutan – 18 April 2025 – Little Bhutan, the Kingdom’s bespoke tour company known for immersive cultural journeys, today announced its official membership in the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), the region’s foremost network of responsible travel businesses.
“Bhutan is the world’s only carbon-negative nation; partnering with PATA, which achieved full carbon neutrality for all association activities in 2024, is a natural extension of our commitment to “high-value, low-volume tourism,” said Bharat Thapa, CEO of Little Bhutan. “Membership allows us to build relationships and collaborate with like-minded individuals and organisations. It allows us a wider avenue in the travel industry of the region, and beyond.”
Reasons Little Bhutan Joined PATA:
Little Bhutan joined PATA because it wanted to be part of a global organization. Both Little Bhutan and Bhutan’s overall tourism policy of sustainable tourism, aligns well with what PATA stands for. PATA offers helpful services like marketing support, guidance for post-pandemic recovery, and up-to-date knowledge about the tourism industry in the Asia Pacific region and beyond. It also hosts events like the Travel Mart, offering new and robust partnerships and collaborations. Being part of PATA gives Little Bhutan the opportunity to share Bhutan’s unique culture with a wider, more global audience.
