The Wangdue Tshechu festival is celebrated for three days in autumn at the Wangdue Phodrang Dzong. The festival features sacred mask dances, including the Raksha Mangcham, which portrays the trial system after death in the court of the Lord of Death. Thousands of people dressed in traditional attire attend the festival to witness this highly anticipated cultural event.
