Situated at an elevation of 2700 meters above sea level, Bathpalathang Airport is the country’s only other domestic airport dedicated exclusively to domestic operations.
Established in 2011, it serves as a crucial link connecting eastern Bhutan districts like Trashigang to the western regions, facilitating convenient travel within the country. Despite its size, it is renowned for its operational efficiency and scenic location, potentially making it one of the world’s smallest airports.
