Known as Sangye Migyur Ling Lhakhang, this temple is the newest of its kind in Bhutan and is located in Phuentsholing. The Lhakhang, a tall tower structure, is a replica of the original temple that the poet-yogi Milarepa built and later destroyed under the commands of his teacher, Marpa. Milarepa undertook this task as a form of atonement for using black magic to kill his mother’s enemies.
This ten-story temple stands on a 12-acre site and serves as a beacon of hope, especially significant due to its location in the border town of Phuentsholing. Notably, there are several replicas of this Lhakhang in China.
