The Dagala Thousand Lake Trek typically begins in Geneka, on the outskirts of Thimphu, and ends in Tseza village in Dagana. However, currently, the trek concludes in Chamgang, northeastern Thimphu. Despite the shortened route, this trek remains popular, offering hikers breathtaking views of numerous lakes, considered sacred in Bhutanese culture. Along the way, expect to encounter diverse vegetation and birdlife. The trek reaches its highest elevation at over 4,000 meters.
