PemaGatshel

Situated between Trashigang and Samdrup Jongkhar, Pema Gatshel strikes a perfect balance between modernity and age-old religious customs and traditions. This beautiful southeastern district is home to approximately 23,800 people and covers an area of 1,022 sq. km. The natives are referred to as PemaGatshelpas, though the population also includes people from other districts.

Pema Gatshel, along with its neighboring districts of Samdrup Jongkhar and Trashigang, offers a variety of activities, from biking to birdwatching. These activities symbolically reflect the interdependent nature of the Bhutanese people and the natural world.
