An ancient monument to be electrified

Rigsum Gonpa Trashi Yangtsi Rigsum Goenpa, one of the oldest monuments in the country, located more than four hours’ walk away from Trashiyangtse, is going to be electrified in July 2013. Till now, the monks in the monastery had been living without electricity. Rigsum Goenpa was founded in the 18th century by Lam Tshering Gyamtsho.
