Security tighten for elections

This is to inform that as per the Royal Bhutan Police (Crime & Operations)’s notification # RBP/HQ/DCP/C&O/SR-231/2013(464): -

  • Security checks shall be carried out with effect from 22nd May 2013 for the upcoming National Assembly Election Primary Round. All are requested to carry relevant identification documents at all times. (It is advised and recommended to have visa copies/ passports/ ID for the tourists)
  • All international borders (land) routes will be sealed and NO MOVEMENT (People and Vehicle) for both entry and exit will be allowed from 6.00 PM of 30th May to 6.00 PM of 31st May 2013. Hence, accordingly adjust movement of tourists/ tourist vehicle through border gates.
