Weston-Bhutan student cultural exchange launched

Weston-Bhutan Student Cultural Exchange Six high school students from Weston, South Florida will be visiting Bhutan for a cultural exchange program. Julian Jacobs, a junior at Weston High School, launched the program following a trip to Bhutan in which he learned that the Royal Education Council of Bhutan wanted to broaden the education of Bhutanese students by exposing them to Western culture. During their month-long stay, the Weston students will teach American cultural studies including American history, government, music, technology and literature in schools in Thimphu, Punaka and Paro.
