The standard of services provided by the staffs of Little Bhutan were impeccable from the moment we sent our first query to the moment we left Bhutan. Tshering is very prompt in replying and always ensures that all doubts are addressed. Our Guide Sonam and Driver Deepak were the best team we have come across. They were always willing to go the extra mile and were even able to retrieve my niece’s mobile phone from a 6-feet deep tree trunk! Sonam’s encouragement and optimistic “no-problem” attitude made the hikes safe and enjoyable! He also patiently guided us through us the various monasteries and Dzongs. Also Sonam ensured that we had fun while hiking even on difficult trails. We loved climbing to the top of Tiger’s Nest Monastery. Sonam and Deepak treated us like family. Surapee & Friends from USA We really enjoyed Bhutan very much and are thankful to the team of Little Bhutan including our guide Phuntsho & driver Bali. They have all been extremely gentle & polite and we enjoyed their sense of humor too. All services provided were excellent. The hotels provided, the traditional hot stone bath, the Dochula pass, the scenic countryside and the Punakha festival were some of the best highlights that we enjoyed. We both had a fabulous time in Bhutan. We loved every minute of it. It was great that at the beginning of the trip we were able to suggest changes to the original itinerary and Little Bhutan was able to incorporate our requests. We really enjoyed the farm-stay and was able to see how the local people live & eat. The hotels, restaurants and the food everywhere were very good. We have no complaints and only compliments for what we ate & where we stayed. Our tour guide, Phuntsho always seemed to have the answers to our million questions. He was very knowledgeable and organized which helped to maximize our cultural activities. Little Bhutan should be an example for all other tour operators. They were polite, truthful, prompt & provided complete answers & services. I am a widely traveled person and I have been in many different parts of the world. Few, if any, have impressed me as favorably as Bhutan. I would like to thank all of you from those in the office to those involved in the trek and the current tour. Nima has been without exception a marvelous guide. He is knowledgeable, considerate, thoughtful and at all times professional. I have enjoyed every minute of being in Bhutan and have had a unusual opportunities to learn about Bhutanese culture and spirituality. I did not know what to expect from the trek and was pleasantly surprised by the care and consideration taken for my comfort throughout. The cook Namgay and his assistant Rinchen did a wonderful job creating dishes that I enjoyed despite experiencing some sickness at high altitudes. The two pony men were also very helpful with camp tasks apart from the big job of looking after their ponies with loading, unloading and carrying the equipment up and down the trails. Nima was able to explain the cultural features we saw as well as the natural features. I was lucky enough to meet with Jigme Dorji park rangers who know the wildlife and plants. We are a very diverse group with a variety of needs and everyone treated each one of us with an extraordinary amount of kindness and respect. The team of Little Bhutan did give us a ‘Big experience’ of the Country. All 70 of us feel much affection for our guides and drivers and we will miss them all very much.) And as Julie indicated last night your guides and drivers are exceptional. They are organized and knowledgeable and even more important they are warm and caring. The overall tour experience was excellent, with the exception of Lodging and Food. The Lodging and Food were good. Regarding suggestions…I understand that we are the biggest group that Little Bhutan has had and overall the logistics were excellent however there are a few things that would have worked better for us. 1) Having dinner at the places where we were staying or within walking distance would have been helpful. We often had to wait for the bus to take us back to the hotel after dinner and it would have been better if we could have just left when we were done eating. 2.) Having 70 people eating at once with one buffet table is difficult. You might want to ask the restaurants to set up 3 or 4 buffet tables when serving a group this size. 3) Some people shop and others don’t. It might be helpful for the buses to drop those who do not want to shop at the hotel and take those who do want to shop to the shops. There were a few times when 10 people were shopping and 60 people were waiting for them. Other than the above, everything was perfect, thank you. Julie Scott, Karen Wark & the Rosicrucian group.
