Khoma Weaving Center
Khoma is renowned for producing Kishuthara, intricately patterned silk kiras. The Kishuthara Weaving Center, located in Khoma, serves as a central place for weavers to work and sell their products.
Weaving these kiras can take over a year, with some selling for up to BTN 100,000 (around USD 1,200). Established around 2021, the center supports the local economy, as the majority of people in this region depend on the sale of kiras.
Visitors can expect to see vibrant colors and witness women weaving in a style and manner that remains true to ancient traditions.
