The third domestic airport for Bhutan will be launched in Gelephu in October 25. The other two being in Bumthang and Trashigang.
The airline is yet to come up with the airfare and a schedule. However, Drukair charges USD 170 for a one-way ticket to Bumthang, and USD 340 for a return trip.
It was initially anticipated inaugurating the Gelephu airport alongside the relaunching of the domestic airports in Batpalathang, Bumthang and Yonphula, Trashigang, by the first week of October. But both these airports are not expected to be ready by then.
